THE SQUID OLDMENA four-piece rock band consisting of Ryoga Nakada (Vo./Gt.), Hotaru Yasuda (Ba./Cho.), Kenta Komiyama (Gt./Cho.), and Asuka Super Tanaka (Dr./Cho.), formed in 2017. While rooted in Japanese guitar rock, their sound incorporates elements from both Japanese and Western rock of the 1990s to 2000s, reinterpreted through a modern sensibility. Centered around memorable melodies and distinctive guitar riffs, their music delicately captures emotional fluctuations and fleeting moments of everyday life through lyrics that value the beauty of the Japanese language.
