Soko Morikawa

Soko Morikawa is a singer/songwriter (sings in both English and Japanese) and a composer based on Soul/Neo Soul/R&B/Jazz and Contemporary music, graduated from Berklee College of Music majored in Contemporary Writing and Production. Her music career had to pause once in early 2000's due to her physical condition. She has been suffering from sudden auditory disturbance and symptom called "Functional dysphonia during singing", and is on her treatment currently still. Although her condition is not fully recovered yet, she finally resumed her music career in 2019. With her unique, but one and only melody sense, she is creating "Music that brings sweetness and pleasant to people's ears and hearts." with her love. Artists influenced by: Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, D'Angelo, Cassandra Wilson, Angie Stone, Amel Larrieux, Daniel Caesar, H.E.R, Lyle Mays, Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Buddy Rich, Kenjiro Sakiya, and last not but least, Ms. Carole King.
