Shiro Sadamura

Born in Tokyo in 1963. He studied jazz violin with Matt Glaser at Berklee College of Music in 1984. In 1987, transferred to New York City University CITY COLLEGE, and received a personal lesson for Ron Carter, director of jazz department, and at the same time guided by the concert master Yoko Takebe of the NewYork Philharmonic. 1988-90 Regular participation in Eddie Palmieri Band, performance in US tours, European jazz festivals. In 1995, he formed UPLINKERS, a NY-based free funk project centered on improvisation. In 2005, he announced his first work "METAMORPHOSIS", and received guests such as Eddie Palmieri and Ron Carter, and was acclaimed by various media including jazz, funk, Latin and contemporary music. In the spring of 2012, he returned to Japan with a period in 28 years of American life. Currently, based in Japan, started a new music activity as a jazz violin guru.
