Piano Duo RubanThe Piano duo Ruban was created in 2016 by japanese pianists Asami BENIYA BERLIOZ and Yui KAWAI. Both pianists studied at the music conservatory in Rueil Malmaison in France with renound French pianists Chantal Riou and Pascal Amoyel. Up until recently Asami BENIYA BERLIOZ and Yui KAWAI have mainly concentrated on the French repertoire such as Saint-Saens, Schmitt and Poulenc but are now widening their horizon. In 2016 they won the first prize at the London International Music Competition Grand Prize Virtuoso in chamber music and were invited to take part in the Gala concert at the world renound Royal Albert Hall in London. In March 2017 they were invited to take part in the fund raising concert for the Japanese catholic center in Paris. The same year they won the second prize in the four hands category at the "Concours Musical de France" music competition and in July 2017 were selected to participate in the summer music festival for young talents MUZA KAWASAKI in Tokyo in Japan. In November 2017 they won second prize in the international music competition Léopold Bellan in Paris.
In 2018 they won second prize in the Premio citta di Padova international competition. In 2019 they played Mozart concerto for two pianos with the Rueil Malmaison concervatory orchestra. In 2021 Piano Duo Ruban s first CD album "FERIA!" was released. In december 2021, Piano Duo Ruban was awarded the third prize in chamber music at the France music competition, the second prize in the four hands category at the Clara Schumann international Competition. In 2022 Piano Duo Ruban was awarded the 1st prize in chamber music at the Tiziano Rossetti international Music Competition, the 1st Prize in the four hands category at the international Gloria Artis Music Competition, the 3rd Prize in the four hands category at the London Classical Music Competition.
