NORIKO ONUKI

Singing since the age of 2 years old, Noriko Onuki has always felt the pull of music on her soul. By the time she had reached high school, her talent was well recognized as her music teacher continually urged her to pursue singing professionally. Several years later Noriko finally materialized her passion of jazz singing into a full-time career. She performs Jazz, pops and other with her endows voice. And she has a very good command of the English language. In 2007 she won Japan Jazz Vocal Performance Award for the best new singer, and in same year she released her CD "Evergreen" which was recorded in Los Angeles. In 2012 she released her CD "I'm in the mood for love". In 2016 she won Japan Jazz Vocal Performance Award for the best singing ability. She has performed on Taiwan international jazz festival and North Germany international jazz festival several times. She also belongs to The Wind Wave which is the famous wind orchestra in Japan. She has played with Stan Gilbert, Lew Mathews, Carl Burnet, Hideo Ichikawa, Mohikano Seki, Getao Takahashi, Hiroko Kokubu, Naoki Kitajima, Akio Fujita, Masahiko Osaka, Seichi Nakamura, Kunihiko Tanabe, Eiji Taniguchi and other many famous players. She is one of prospective singers in Japan.
