Mio KosekiMio Koseki is a Japanese singer-songwriter and lyricist whose music moves naturally between Japanese and French.
She began her career as a songwriter, writing for artists including Kana Nishino and iKON, as well as creating and performing French lyrics for commercial music in Japan.
After living in France in 2013, French gradually became an integral part of her own musical expression.
Blending a distinctly Japanese sense of emotion and nuance with influences from French music, pop, R&B and contemporary electronic sounds, Mio has developed a bilingual style that brings Japanese and French sensibilities together naturally.
In 2024, she was selected as one of five winners worldwide of #ChanteEnFrançais, organized by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and performed at Belgium's Francofolies de Spa.
In 2025, she returned to Europe for a tour across Paris and Brussels, playing to full houses throughout the tour.
Today, Mio continues to create music in both Japanese and French, shaping a unique sound that connects Japan and France.
