Mie JokeMie Joké
Born in Uwajima, Ehime, Japan.
Has been in love with music under the influence of her father. At the age of 6, started playing the piano and also interested in singing.
Majored in pre-school education and learned classical music at college in Tokushima.
Soon after hearing Ella Fitzgerald singing, started herself singing in jazz clubs. Moved to Tokyo after graduation, got a hall staff job at a well-established jazz club BODY & SOUL in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo.
Soon, made her debut on stage with the recommendation of the club owner Kyoko Seki. Recorded a live performance with a famous pianist Tsuyoshi Yamamoto and started her career as a professional singer for 3 years, then suddenly quitted.
In 2008, decided to return and studied under the vocalist Kimiko Ito. In February 2009, passed an audition at the club Yoyogi NARU, been back in the scene.
Currently, singing in the jazz clubs, monthly in BODY & SOUL (Minami Aoyama), Yoyogi NARU in Tokyo, and nationwide.
