KAZUMA KUDOFrom Iwate Prefecture in Japan. Kazuma Kudo discovered classical music at 15 years old and graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts. He studied vocal music under Kazuho Obara, Tomoya Sasaki, Taro Ichihara, Elizabeth Norberg-Schulz. In 2015, he received the Excellence Award at the 28th Newcomer Competition organized by the Ichikawa City Culture Promotion Foundation, the best award of the 33rd Nerima Newcomer Concert Audition and the 1st Prize of the 1st Kawasaki Newcomer Vocal Music Contest. Following this, he got the 2nd Prize (vocal section) of the 84th "Music Competition of Japan", the 1st Prize of the 53rd "Nichii Seigaku Concorso" as well as the song award (Takiko Okabe, Sadako Mine Award), the 2nd Prize and public Prize (no 1st Prize has been awarded this year) of the 17th Tokyo Music Contest vocal section. He accomplished his opera debut with Mascagni's "Cavalleria Rusticana" as Turiddu. He performed also as Alfredo in "La Traviata", Tamino in "The Magic Flute", Pong in "Turandot", Don Basilio in "The Marriage of Figaro", etc. In 2015 again, as Jean Valjean from "Les Misérables", he appeared and sang on stage at the famous Imperial Theater of Tokyo. Kazuma Kudo is also active in a wide range of genres other classical, such as performing on TV shows and covering popular songs, as well as singing for anime like "Yuri!!! on ICE" with the songs "Aria<<Stammi vicino, non te ne andare>>" and "Duet<<Stammi vicino, non te ne andare>>". In November 2019, he performed as Cavaradossi in "Tosca" of Puccini at the NISSAY OPERA.
