Jacob TanakaA singer-songwriter and home-recording artist who plays many instruments including guitar, bass, drums, and piano on his own, and handles everything from recording and mixing to video production himself.
He began creating music during his student days and has consistently released his work primarily on SoundCloud and YouTube, continuing his musical activities at his own pace ever since.
In 2018, he released his first album, "A Knife in the Hot Water", on "TONOFON" a label headed by Shugo Tokumaru. Since 2020, he has been consistently releasing works through NEWFOLK.
His deep love for and knowledge of rock and popular music, cultivated since childhood his unique, masterful playing skills honed single-mindedly as a guitar kid and his natural sense of melody and exceptional songwriting have earned him widespread acclaim across all generations.
In addition to his solo work, he is active as a session guitarist and as the vocalist and guitarist for the four-piece rock band "YANUSHI".
