Jr.DeeKnown as the Rub-a-Dub Master, he is one of the originators of Japanese reggae music.
Born in Shizuoka Prefecture, he started surfing at an early age under the influence of his older brother, which led to his first encounter with reggae music, and he began to hold a microphone in his hand in 1985. He then moved to Yokohama by himself. After working as an artist in Banana Size Hi-Fi which can be said to be the origin of the Yokohama reggae scene, he spent an extended period of time in Jamaica and New York from 1993 in pursuit of the real thing.
After returning to Japan he became an indispensable artist in the Japanese reggae scene, and is a genuine old veteran who is still active at the forefront of the scene. His unique undulation and movement on the mic performance is a realm that cannot be easily imitated.
A naturalist who grew up with the sound and the sea and has made it all part of his lifestyle.
