A little cute. A little strange. Very loud.
HYOTTOKO OKAME is a five-piece rock band from Japan
blending punk rock energy catchy melodies colorful pop aesthetics
and a distinctly Japanese sense of humor.
Fronted by vocalist Kiko the band creates music about being human: the absurdity of everyday life loneliness frustration joy and all the weird little things in between.
Their name comes from Hyottoko and Okame traditional Japanese comic masks often seen together in festivals and folk performances. The band takes that playful Japanese spirit and turns it into something loud colorful chaotic and modern.
With two guitars bass drums and vocals HYOTTOKO OKAME brings an energetic live show that is as expressive and unpredictable as their name suggests.
Cute on the outside.
Wild on the inside.
Just being human.
In February 2026 HYOTTOKO OKAME released their first two singles Ikimono and Hitoriasobi.
