DURAN

Artist Profile

DURANDURAN is a three-piece garage rock band led by guitarist/singer Duran with MASAE (bass) and Shiho (drums). With walls of fuzz, raw blues-driven grooves, and an uncompromising live energy, they carve out a unique presence in todays rock scene. The project began in 2018 as Duran solo venture, but by 2025 it had evolved into a full-fledged band. Since then, DURAN has defined itself as a collective, capturing the same urgency in the studio as on stage recording live in single takes, straight to tape, with no edits or polish. What remains on record is nothing but the unfiltered human impulse and vibration. Their career has already spanned major milestones a sold-out show at Shibuya Spotify O-East in 2021 following the release of their second album Kaleido Garden the 2023 release of their third album Electric Man, which pushed their sound into more avant-garde territory and the 2024 blues album 30 Scratchy Backroad Blues, praised by U.S. blues media outlet American Blues Scene. That same year saw a tour in France, a packed-out show at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM in Tokyo, and an eight-date headline tour in the Philippines expanding their presence across borders. The latest album Vornak (2025) smashes through anger, faith, ruin, desire, money, and even the blues itself across 11 tracks that wander between noise, silence, and raw emotion. It stands as DURANs statement of what rock can still be primitive, explosive, and unmistakably alive.
