CoelacanthFormed in 2008.
A five-piece band based in Ehime Prefecture, featuring a genre-defying style of mellow, sentimental, and slightly hard-edged music.
The band was formed in a garage where Keizo Murakami (Gt&Vo) and Daiki Takasuka (Dr) were playing with sounds.
After several live performances, Takuro Takaichi (Gt) joined the band and full-fledged band activities began.
They released their first mini album "Coelacanth" in 2012.
After the departure of the bassist and guitarist, SHIHO (Key) and KAZU (ba) joined in 2017, releasing their first album "Sunshine" in 2024.
The comfortable sound created from the diverse musical backgrounds of the five members and the rich mid-range whisper voice of the vocalist have captured the hearts of many music lovers.
