Artist Profile

Bad Pritt

Bad Pritt is the solo project of an Italian music composer and multi instrumentalist, Luca Marchetto who creates works which focus on cinematic music, that leans toward sophisticated electro music influenced by neoclassical school and serial art. In 2008, Bad Pritt debuted by releasing his self-titled first album 'Bad Pritt'. Its vivid beat and magnificent synthesizer sound that remind you of the soundtracks of Hollywood movies and the electronica sound from Ulrich Schnauss, The Field, and Four Tet, was made up of 100% hardware instruments and is one of the successful examples of music that was created by mixing old devices with a new sentience. On his stage, he performs by using not only these countless devices but also alongside gloomy visuals. In 2021, he released the first EP 'EP1' as a collaboration between Ricco Label and Italian label, Shyrec. It differs from the album in that it is a beautiful neoclassical work composed primarily with an upright piano and additional instruments such as a violin and synthesizer. Its introspective sound colour is reminiscent of not only Ricco Label's artists, such as Anoice and Sontag Shogun, but also neoclassical musicians such as Jóhann Jóhannsson, Nils Frahm, and Sylvain Chauveau.
