Ailing Sai

The timbres of my harp transcend any boundaries just like ever free sunlight or water,throbbing and dancing.Ailing Sai is an international Harpist born in Tokyo, Japan. Her mother was brought up in a linage of traditional Buddhist monks, and her father's side Taiwanise grandparents were musicians, so she grew up in unique artistic family background of "spirituality and music." She graduated from the Kunitachi College of Music and Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Her career as a musician started early since she was still a music student at university, so she has more than 20 years of performing experience. In 2007 her first solo harp music album "Hana-Ichirin, A Flower Bringing the Warmth" was released by King Records Inc. in Japan. That album features western classical music numbers and some folk songs of the East and West. The next year 2008, Ailing made her major debut recital at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan hall. She was given high praises by critics and mass media and her recital was covered by Fox channel in USA× Maybelline NY "Power of Maybe." Since then she has been giving concerts in Asia, North America and Europe. Ailing has passion in composing music that reflects her spiritual sensitivity and her international music background. She has released five CD albums. And her original harp music has been futured for the three documentary films and TV program produced by NHK (Japanese National Networks association) Ailing also has strong interest in spirituality taking courses in meditation and introspection, and has practiced in various types of healing methods(Reiki, Theta Healing )and so she released Healing Harp music CDs. And I have been enjoying facilitating "Relaxing Meditation"with harp music every month in my spare time.
