Sasaji KaoriBorn in Kanagawa prefecture and began piano lessons at age 5.
She encountered Okinawan (Okinawa is the southernmost prefecture of Japan) music in school days and started listening to various Okinawan songs and later started playing and composing music. In 2015, she won the grand prize of "Futami Jowa Sanshin Competition" which was held in Okinawa.
