Kieli

Kieli is the solo-project of Swedish/Finnish singer and multi-instrumentalist Elin Pöllänen. With roots in Nordic and Finno-Ugric folk music and influences such as Radiohead, Sigur ros and Björk, Kieli composes cinematic indie-folk that invites the listener to hear the versatility of instruments that can be found in an old wooden house: glockenspiel, harmonium, violin, piano, guitar, and the different sounds of wooden floors and sticks. Kieli's music embodies her commitment to human and animal rights, and sustainability. With an honest and personal voice, she wants to resonate with empathy and empowerment, and challenge the status quo.
